The Classic Gown {In Traditional Lace}

As another Monday rolls around I’ve found myself back home in New York and still needing lots of pretty things to get mine and everyone elses heads up high again after a devastating last week. So today, lots more pretty in the form of my favorite type of wedding dress fabric… lace, lace and more lace! I talk about lace a lot since obviously I’m obsessed but today I’m paying tribute to the beautiful traditional lace. I’ve picked a few of my favorites; I assure you that these will make you swoon too..

From Monique Lhuillier, I adore the “Scarlet” gown (first, third and fifth photos) with a beautiful key hole back and plunging neckline. This lace is gorgeous; no sparkles needed here to make this gown shine. Another lovely Monique Lhuillier pick with small straps and a massive and beautiful lace train (second and seventh photos) is definitely a head turner. Moving onto “Kennedy” by Modern Trousseau (sixth and eighth photos), I can’t get over the incredible deep v-neck back, and lace overlay above the sweetheart neckline. For an old world look, this one beats them all. And how could I forget Jim Hjelm (forth and tenth photos) who does it again with this v-neck plunge and gracefully thick sleeveless straps… **sigh**. But one more… and this one boasts one of the prettiest backs out there, “Orange Blossom” by Claire Pettibone (ninth photo). The classic lace wedding gown only gets better with every season proving that this style will never go out of fashion.
