Some of the most memorable wedding palettes come when you combine the right colors with the right themes and for a bold and modern option for our trendy brides-to-be, I can’t get over how “cool” a new Moroccan theme is. So what is new Moroccan? Well, it’s not the traditional patterns and more muted reds, oranges and blues that you think about. It’s a stronger color choice with less patterns. Lots of solid oranges, magentas, reds and purples make up this palette and mix with classic Moroccan pieces (vibrant pillows, sheer draping, traditional lanterns, outdoor tents and low seating) creating a very distinct theme but keeping it modern and stylish all at once…
Well we’ve finally made it to Friday – what a week! And after this week I wanted something fun for the weekend… like, bachelorette party ideas! So this will be the first of my bachelorette “etiquette” aka “party” posts and today’s it’s all about the pink! From pink boas and gloves, to pretty in pink invites and obviously onto the desserts… cupcakes, cake and donuts… and finally, lots of pink decor..
Ladies, bachelorette parties are made for pink! Let the celebrations begin!
Lately I’ve been loving blush and gold.. just wore these colors to a wedding this past weekend and was feeling very vintage chic with the color combo (blush lace dress + gold clutch and accessories)… but I’m only gushing over fashion here! So imagine how amazing I (or you) would be feeling with a whole wedding day full of beautiful shades of blush and elegant gold touches.
Blush and gold is a perfect palette for any season which is one of many reasons why I love this color combo. While beautiful in the spring, I think it’s equally romantic in the fall and I just can’t get over how lovely it is for a winter wedding. The pale pink evokes winter dreams and the gold is the sparkle that we all need to get through the season. So today I collected a little bit of everything for your wedding planning! Some highlights… this stunning gold and blush tulle bridesmaids dress from Tova’s Vintage Shop (first photo), a few of my favorite dessert options… tasty macaroons, ice cream cones and obviously cupcakes, an incredible gold + blush table setting (forth photo), these dainty but exquisite invitations by Daily Sip Studios(fifth photo), and finally some pretty in blush pink flats by Gianni Bini (ninth photo). For me… these pictures are just about making my Tuesday… blush and gold wedding planning anyone
Happy happy Friday! Thank goodness for the weekend! To celebrate, we’re dreaming of weddings all the way down to Florida to inspire some brides into considering a destination wedding to the Sunshine State or even better, bringing a little bit of a Floridian flare to their own hometown wedding!
Since I am by no means a Florida expert, this post is all about my imagination; if I were having a Florida wedding this is exactly what it would look like. Pink is an obvious must. Love it or hate it… just pick it if you’re going Florida. I’m not exactly sure why I think pink and Florida but I feel pretty strong about this one so let’s just go with it. Now that we have the color (that’s singular not plural this time), it’s time for the fun. Whether you are using the Floridian style as inspiration or planning a destination wedding there, I love a reception venue that is…. you guessed it, pink! This just sets the tone and makes for beautiful pictures. I’m envisioning a light pink stucco, palm trees and lots of greenery. For the venue I love the Boca Roton Resort (first photo), and the Biltmore Hotel (third photo). Both define timeless Floridian elegance. Another fun touch for any wedding is a colorful choice of shoes and today I found this adorable pair of Vera Wang pumps (second photo). They are light and airy – perfect for this theme. And to add a twist? While I will forever love the traditional wedding garb, for the gutsy bride how about this awesome fitted, very light pink dress (last photo)! Enjoy the weekend!
I’ve said it once but I’ll say it again.. I’m mildly obsessed with the idea of a whimsical, enchanting garden wedding. Although it’s hard to top just the garden, there are always ways to embellish it and make it that much better! Today, inspiration for the romantic garden wedding.
The quintessential garden wedding will be entirely outdoors (that’s ceremony included) so to start, one of the most incredible outdoor ceremony pictures (first photo below), set in the middle of an impeccable garden; everything is perfect here. The pink flowers inspire pale pink bridesmaids dresses (second photo); a light pink seems to blend perfectly with the garden and this color is one of the most romantic choices for bridesmaids dresses. And then there is the reception. Decorated with flowers and greenery, it’s hard not to evoke romanticism, but decorate your garden reception like the one below (fifth picture), and you start to see how the little things differentiate the garden from the romantic garden for your wedding day!
