Styled Shoot at Bread and Chocolate

I was completely swooning over this style shoot by Sj2 Photography when I first saw it and just knew I had to have it here on OTW. Set at Bread and Chocolate this {real} couple got dressed up for a perfect shoot filled with pretty details and lots of love.

From Sj2 Photography: It was a pleasure to work with a past wedding couple of mine to create these beautiful images. They were so amazing to work with. The bride, Rachel, brought her beautiful lace wedding dress. I created the delicate flower crown to add a little extra to her look. I found the tulips at a local grocery store and I love the simplicity of just draping it over her arm instead of creating a bouquet. I found the sequins fabric cover at a fabric store and created a table cover for our shoot. I feel like the gold sequins made the cake and the colors of the flowers pop. And of course the brick background added the perfect backdrop. These are perfect ideas for indoor weddings receptions and ceremony.

Bridal Shower Etiquette: The Mason Jar Centerpiece

Back to the bridal shower today! And in the spirit of summer we wanted to put together enough DIY mason jar ideas for every MOH or bridesmaid to use for their sisters, cousins, or best friends indoor, outdoor, elegant, rustic, fresh or funky shower.

The mason jar has become a staple for the cool wedding customized easily with some DIY touches. While they are perfect for outdoor and casual weddings, they are also perfect for spring and summer bridal showers making fun, inexpensive and unique centerpieces. Honestly, I love all of the options below {obviously – I picked them} but a few things that I gush over most:

1. tinted blue or green {or any color} mason jars
2. mason jars with bow ties {ie a twine bow at their neck}
3. the unconventional mason jar {think old milk jug instead of mason jar to spice things up}

Happy bridal shower planning lovelies!

Beautiful Vintage Tennessee Wedding

We made it to the weekend! And we’re going out in style with this gorgeous, {vintage} wedding by Jessica for The Collection. Held at the Historic Cedarwood in Nashville, Tennessee, the bride, Sophia, chose beautiful vintage details to make the day special. The colors were inspired by a peacock feather creating a lovely mix of purples, blues and greens; lots of pretty for an April Friday!

The Wonderful Winter Bouquet

A winter wedding is incomplete without a fabulous bouquet to remind your guests of the season and the many beauties of winter. Oh I know, there are just so many choices on the winter floral front…no, really I actually think there are..though most people don’t. First up… the iconic pine cone (third and fifth photos). If I’m being honest, I’ll admit.. not my personal favorite, but it’s fun for the winter especially if you’re going with a rustic theme. As for what I do like (love)… Deep red roses or any other pretty rich red flower are a must but mixing them with light pinks (first and sixth photos) or bringing in pale pink tones paired with light frosty blue-greys (forth photo) is perfect for a winter floral combo that stays true to the season and makes a beautiful statement for your winter celebration.

Christmas Countdown: The Christmas Bouquet

On the forth day of Christmas, a little inspiration in the form of the beautiful bouquet. If you aren’t sold on the Christmas colors or even decor, but want a little something seasonal on your big day… the bouquet is an elegant but muted way of making that Christmas statement. I love striking reds in a Christmas bouquet so obviously red is the overwhelming color scheme here but, that doesn’t mean you need only red. Combining your rich red color with other winter choices… greens, blues, even browns (first photo) can make for a unique and untypical Christmas bouquet. Or if you prefer the very Christmasy… add a few pine cones, cranberries, and holly to spice up the spirit (second, third, seventh photos) or finally, for a spin on the traditional, go with a deeper red floral palette… the maroons (forth and sixth photos). This way, you steer clear of those traditional reds but keep it wintry…. the perfect inspiration for our forth day of Christmas
