Well it’s not often we see white as the main color for any wedding palette but today we’re going white for a true winter celebration! From a snowy landscape for your wedding photos, to white fur on your chairs, “snow-capped” pinecones as an entry table centerpiece, a delicate white birdcage lace veil, or some delicious wintry white signature drinks, all of these touches – plus a few more below can add a little winter to your big (white) day.
Well it’s Friday, which suddenly means I wanted to change things up altogether and I finally sat down and put some of my color palette thoughts into one place… an inspiration board! I know these are a dime a dozen these days but hey, figured I could dive in too… after all they are so fun making! The colors that inspired me today? A very light purply-grey with a pretty blend of two very similar shades.. tiffany blue and a “dusted aqua”. The result? Well you tell me! I love the pretty tiffany blue heart decorations and beyond fabulous shoes. And I can’t seem to get over how cute the dusted aqua candy jars (a spin on the normal boring jars) are! And as for decor? Ever think of matching a room in your reception with your palette….
Happy Monday! Well it’s been a dismally cold weekend here in NYC so I needed a little something springy to cheer me up and start thinking about summery wedding and happy pretty things! So peaches and plums it is. My own take on inspiration for this fruity palette today using the.. yep, you guessed it, actual fruit as my guide. And from there just a little of this (plum garter?) and a little of that (a peach wedding dress or purple bridesmaids dresses?) all of which make today’s palette cheery, fun and very springy!
Happy 2013 lovely One to Wed readers! Yesterday I couldn’t believe 2012 was ending; today I can’t believe 2013 is beginning! To start the new year off right, and in New Year’s tradition, today is all about the sparkle, glitter and overall dazzle. Time to accessorize for your New Years’s wedding with all things shiny and made of sequins…
On the must-have New Year’s wedding list? The likes of silver glitter bridesmaids dresses, sequin decor – I love the idea of a sparkly table setting, glitter confetti, an embellished wedding gown (a favorite by Monique Lhuillier below), a sequin clutch (a fun choice also below by Betsey Johnson), and of course sparkly pumps for dancing the New Year away…
Happy New Year’s Eve! I don’t know about you but I cannot believe that it’s the end of 2012! Wasn’t it just the beginning?? I wanted to do something in the spirit of a New Year’s Eve wedding today and was inspired by my friend throwing her newly engaged brother and soon-to-be sister in law an engagement party yesterday with a midnight blue and silver theme. That got me thinking how I actually do love midnight blue and how it’s well, a perfectly fitting color for NYE for no other reason than it just is!
So I’m doing my own spin on this color palette for a New Years inspiration board of a post. You can put the pieces together but we have a festive blend of fashion (for the girls and boys), decor, floral and some fun touches like these awesome blue agate coasters (last photo)!
