Long Island City Love

I always love a good New York City wedding and this one seemed perfect as we’re getting closer to the weekend! And for a little twist, we even added a few engagement shots because they were just too fun to be forgotten! Michael Chadwick Photography shot both the engagement and wedding all over NYC!

From the photographer {Samantha and Adam had a fantastic and fun engagement shoot in Brooklyn’s DUMBO neighborhood, followed a few months later by an extraordinarily New York style wedding! The dress was revealed at the top of their ceremony and reception venue, Penthouse 808 in Long Island City. We then boarded a huge party bus for a quick tour of some of New York’s most famous landmarks, including Grand Central Station and a quick tour of Central Park. The wedding and reception were beautiful and elegant, and everyone had an unforgettable time celebrating}

Sending lots of love from NYC!

Happy Monday lovelies! To kick start the week, we’re very excited to share this New Orleans affair by Mark Eric Photography complete with the flavor of the city, a romantic candlelit ceremony in a Parisian inspired courtyard, lots of French style and dramatic decor touches to top it all off. In the words of the bride: Laissez les Bons temps rouler was what we had in mind while planning our wedding and let the good times roll is what we did! We wanted our guests to be able to experience a true New Orleans wedding while still keeping a romantic and intimate feel to it. From second lining down Canal St. led by the famed Original Pin Stripes Brass Band to dancing all night to the tunes of The TopCats we wanted to make sure our guests were entertained all night. One of our favorite things about New Orleans is Jackson Square and all the widely unique items the small square has to offer. We absolutely love caricature drawings so we had a caricature artist from New York create a rendering of us, which we placed on magnets, and sent out as our save the dates. To tie in our save the dates we had two caricature artists on hand creating custom drawings for the guests -which everyone is still raving about!! From the very beginning I envisioned a candlelit ceremony and reception; the ambiance that candle light provides is unmatched. With a Parisian inspired courtyard as the backdrop to our wedding, very little was needed to enhance the site. I wanted to keep the decor simple and elegant as not to distract from the venue itself but still wanted a touch of drama for the reception!

Wine Country Wedding Elopement

Heading west from NYC today to Glen Ellen, California {that’s in the Napa/Sonoma realm for the non-wine fanatics} for a beautiful elopement by Megan Clouse Photography. The bride and groom married in an intimate affair set at the gorgeous Beltrane Ranch. The elopement was complete with all the wedding must haves; a wedding dress, bouquets, ceremony outside set among aged trees and even some sweets – cookies from Crisp Bake Shop. This wedding is filled with lots of beauty and plenty of pretty for a Tuesday!

Vintage & Pastel Springtime Affair

Helllllo Memorial Day Weekend! Oh summer, you are finally here. Well, you would think by the weather over in NYC it was the start of rainy season {what is rainy season??} but anyway, I’m hoping that wherever you are, you’re ringing in the summer with a BBQ, the beach and some sun! But at the Belle Rose Maison in Conroe, Texas where Emily and Derek’s wedding was this spring, the weather was already beautiful; and the wedding was too!

Amy Watson Photography captured all of the details gorgeously and Emily created such a cool mix of vintage decor paired with pastel colors. Her inspiration came from Breakfast at Tiffany’s so using different colored bridesmaids dresses, floral arrangements in pastels and incorporating vintage accents for her centerpieces and gift + card tables helped her pull off the contrast beautifully and created a perfect spring wedding…. just in time for the last unofficial day of the spring season!

Vintage Elegance – California Style

I love starting off the week with gorgeous weddings, and today’s is filled with lots of pretty details, classic elegance and a fabulous 1950s inspired hair style for the bride. Captured by Gloria Mesa Photography, Erin and John’s wedding ceremony was held at the Santa Clara Parish in Oxnard, California followed by a reception at the Bard Mansion. I can’t get over the vintage elegance, the flawless gown and all the little details? Mostly done by the bride herself… Happy Monday!
