Board {#8} Les Misérables

As another Monday rolls around, I thought it was perfect timing for a little throwback inspiration board… all the way back to 1800s France and the renewed popularity of Les Misérables thanks to Anne Hathaway singing “I Dreamed a Dream”.. Believe it or not, “themed” weddings are gaining more popularity (I’m talking some very {odd} themes like circuses, Harry Potter, the Wizard of Oz… you name it) so why not Les Mis? At least for this one you can spin it as French countryside + vintage style, and the result, well you tell me. Here is our version of a semi-modernized Les Misérables inspired affair…

Board {#7} Cream, Lilac & Cactus Green

Can you believe we are already mid-way through April? Wow, where does the time go!! I was in desperate need of something very springy to kick start my week and so a pretty Spring inspiration board was just the thing to do it! Filled with a perky color combo that will hopefully brighten your day (or week)… lots of lilacs, creams and even a little cactus green in this palette! Happy Monday!

Board {#6} Coral, Grey + Shades of Pink

Pretty in shades of pink plus a little coral and pale grey is what’s getting me out of bed this morning! Lots of colors perfectly {we think} blended together for a bright palette. This is a combination that makes you think twice. Well.. four times? One for each color maybe; because you usually don’t actually see such a variety in one palette – generally it’s just in the bouquet. But this is one thing on the Spring agenda that I think we’ll see a lot more of. Drawing on the idea of ombré anything… (that fading of light to dark on dresses, in bouquets – seriously anything these days) is where the idea for a combination of pinks and a sprinkle of coral came in. The result? Well I’ll let you decide…

Board {#5} Passionate Red and Cotton Candy Pink

Monday’s always start better with some color and today with a little winter storm on the way to NYC, I wanted lots of bright colors… along the lines of reds and pinks to create a pretty {Valentine’s Day?} wedding palette. Well obviously we missed the memo on V-day but that doesn’t mean these colors can’t be used in a palette for a spring wedding. I love little details that blend pinks and reds without making them obnoxious. An elegant mix to create the perfect passionate red and cotton candy pink palette!

Board {#4} A Cinderella Wedding

After seeing Cinderella on Broadway this weekend {please, hold back judgement until you see it – SO good!} I was inspired by the fairy tales we grew up with and the only thing I could think to channel all the happiness was to create a little Cinderella inspiration wedding board. The result? Well, I like it… if an explosion of pretty in pink and pale blue are your favorite wedding colors, then I think you may too!
