Black… and White

There is nothing that I hate more than tacky black and white weddings. And this is coming from a lover of all black colored items. {I did, for a time have a black bedspread, and was proud of it.} But when it comes to weddings, black and white must never be tacky, elegance is the only {I repeat} only direction to go with this palette. And with that, I present my take on the ultimate black and white wedding accessories/ideas/thoughts in pictures.

Emerald Inspiration

Have you heard emerald is the color of the year? Probably, since I’m about 6 months late {and I’ve only mentioned it myself a few times!} But that’s beside the point. As we’re getting into the depths of summer I wanted to winter it up a bit with this deep green – perfect for a {non-summer} wedding! But if you’re planning your summer 2013 wedding now you’re a little late anyway right? So enough with the banter, just some ideas on a modern emerald wedding!

Happy Independence Day

Happy Independence Day! Maybe this is a little too predictable, and you may have already guessed it but it’s full on American style with reds, whites, and blues for the 4th of July! The theme may not be perfect for a wedding any other day of the year but if it’s today {ok or maybe over a “4th of July weekend”} you can pull it off. Outdoors is best, rustic is good, and fireworks at the end are a must. Happy 4th!

Patriotic Style

With the 4th of July on Thursday, I was thinking it was only appropriate to take full advantage of the week complete with lots of reds, whites, blues and overall patriotism. So we’re starting off simple for Monday {I promise there is plenty more to come} but today is just a preview of what to expect for the rest of the week, and how you can actually pull off a Patriotic wedding {or the use of red, white and blue together on your big day} with class and lots of style!

Happy Monday!
