North Carolina Summertime Affair

Nothing like a summer day without a summer wedding in the South and today we have just that! A beautiful North Carolina wedding by Christopher Bell Photography. The small wedding was held at Morning Glory Farm with a gorgeous outdoor ceremony on the edge of the pond followed by an elegant tent reception. But my favorite part of this wedding? The colors! I love the pale pink bridesmaids dresses complimented by the stunning bouquets and the color scheme carrying over to all things reception: the table runners, boutonniere and cupcakes? Yes, them too! Seriously, how cute are they!!

And to top it off, check out this fabulous wedding highlights video by Whitewash Films!

Dress of the Week – Edgardo Bonilla

Happy Wednesday lovelies! I don’t know about you, but I’m so sick of saying it’s just another summer Wednesday because here in New York it’s hot, sticky, and overall nasty {I’m not exactly into the hazy, hot, and humid days of summer}. So anyway, back to our Wednesday dress of the week… By Edgardo Bonilla, this dress screams heavy summer. It’s got the thin straps and an airy look but don’t be deceived… it’s a lot of fabric – beautiful fabric. But it’s all about the look for your big day and this one is perfect for a hot summer {wedding} day!

Destination Mexico {Beach Style}

Heading south today for some of my favorite inspiration – destination style! Now I know we’ve done Mexico before, but this time it’s a little different. It’s all about the Mexican beach! This is what I envision as the true Mexico destination wedding: ceremony on the beach, mariachi band for the cocktail hour, sunset over the water, and reception on the cliffs. Destination {beach} Mexico here we come!

Black… and White

There is nothing that I hate more than tacky black and white weddings. And this is coming from a lover of all black colored items. {I did, for a time have a black bedspread, and was proud of it.} But when it comes to weddings, black and white must never be tacky, elegance is the only {I repeat} only direction to go with this palette. And with that, I present my take on the ultimate black and white wedding accessories/ideas/thoughts in pictures.
