The Beauty of Turquoise & Sunflowers

I don’t know about you, but I needed a little Friday pick me up and when I landed on this wedding I was hooked. It’s simply Friday bliss! There is nothing better than turquoise and sunflowers to get us into the weekend and Casey Durgin Photography captures it all so beautifully! Meghan and Nate’s wedding, at the Flag Hill Winery in New Hampshire, just exudes happiness. It’s the simple DIY details, the vibrant colors, and those sunflowers! The reception; crisp, white and tented, served as a wonderful outdoor setting, but the ceremony between two beautifully old oak trees won me over… and hopefully you too!

Happy Friday!

Destination Santorini Test

Well, the end is near… actually here for two weeks of destination wedding bliss. But we’re ending on a high note, with the fabulously incredible Santorini, Greece. As if the last two weeks wasn’t enough, I kind of feel like today we’re outdoing it all with such an incredible destination wedding location. The palette is obvious.. lots of whites and blues to blend with the scenery, but here, the backdrop does the rest. Whether your dress is lacy or puffy, your theme is romantic or modern it can work. The key is the destination here… and Santorini is the perfect choice for our last day of destination weddings (for now…)

Trend Alert: The Winter Cover-Up

Ahh, the winter shrug is back. I got through almost a year with only a few winter “cover-up” posts (here and here), but I couldn’t resist just one more for the winter season, because there are always more winter furs (and in today’s case a pretty knitted number – sixth photo) to choose from!

While I tend to prefer furs over other jackets, caplets, shawls etc. I don’t mind the fur color and style choices. But (and there is always a but), that doesn’t mean any shrug works for any bride..The key is to pick the right color for your skin (let’s face it, without spray tan we’re all a bit pale come the winter solstice), choosing a color that will look good with your groom, maids and palette choices, and finally, just pick a style for no other reason than you simply adore it.

Today I wanted an assortment of eye candy and inspiration and while you may not love all of these, I promise there is a little something for everyone… So with a long sleeve look (second, forth, and eighth photos) or the traditional capelet (tenth photo), knit and very vintage (sixth photo), or a bit more trendy (fifth photo) you can do a lot with the shrug for any winter affair!

Dress of the Week – Anne Barge

Happy Wednesday lovelies! This week we have a beautiful pick by Anne Barge. This is such a perfect dress for our brides to be who want a classic cut (the gorgeous ballgown skirt) with a modern neckline (I’m slightly obsessed with the lace sweetheart cut). Overall this gown screams modern elegance which is why it makes a perfect pick for the week!

Destinatation India {3 Day} Wedding

Heading over to India today – wedding style with Tom and Vanita’s beautiful real wedding. Tom’s family traveled from the UK for this three day affair and boy what a party it was. The beautiful clothing, elaborate jewelry, bright colors and the elephant procession makes this wedding quite the destination affair – and it was all captured exquisitely by Nick Rose Photography. Take in all of the bold and wonderful details… Happy Tuesday!
